OUR SUSTAINABILITY ETHOS

At the edge of West Waterford, where the wind hums through the hedgerows and the seasons sing their own quiet songs, we grow flowers not for perfection — but for wild beauty. And every choice we make here at Moneygorm Farm is shaped by one guiding principle: to tread as gently as possible on the land that nourishes us.

Sustainability isn't a side note. It’s the heart of everything we do

Flowers with a conscience.

Most commercial flowers travel thousands of miles before they reach a bouquet: flown across continents, chilled for days, treated with preservatives, wrapped in plastic, arranged in toxic floral foam.

We’ve chosen a different way. Our flowers are grown here in West Waterford, not flown in.
They are gathered the day they’re needed, fresh and full of life. We never use floral foam, and we design with compostable or reusable materials, always.

This is floristry that honours the earth, not just the occasion.

No chemicals, ever.

We never use synthetic fertilisers, pesticides, or herbicides on our land. Our flowers grow in living soil, cared for gently and intentionally. This is a place where bees thrive, hedgerows shelter birds, and wild grasses are left to sway.

By working with nature, not against it, we create abundance: not just for our clients, but for the land itself.

A place for the wild things.

This is not a manicured garden or industrial plot.

This is a patchwork of pollinator corridors, bramble hedgerows, wild margins and barefoot paths. It’s not all tidy — and that’s the point.

The birds nest here. The bees feed here. The soil breathes here.

We don’t just grow flowers, we grow habitat. We make beauty that doesn’t cost the wild its home.

Designed to return to the earth.

When your celebration is over, your flowers should leave only memories, not waste. That’s why we design without floral foam or plastic and compost every scrap we can. Our installations are made to biodegrade naturally or be used again and again.

We wrap simply, deliver thoughtfully, and reuse wherever possible.

Because the most meaningful beauty leaves no harm behind.

Not flown, not faked, not foamed.

Most wedding flowers are strangers to the land they bloom in: shipped from far-off countries, stripped of scent, wrapped in plastic, arranged in petroleum-based foam.

Our flowers are different. They are grown right here, under the Irish sky. Sown by hand, fed by rain, and picked when the moment is right: never chilled, never flown, never forced.

You can smell the difference. You can feel the difference.

Flowers that don't cost the earth.

When you choose our flowers, you're choosing beauty that doesn't come at the earth’s expense. No chemicals. No air miles. No plastic sleeves or cold storage. Just flowers grown slowly and seasonally, in soil we nourish with care.

Each stem is harvested by hand from our West Waterford meadow, where bees hum, birds nest, and wild things are left to thrive. We grow with nature, not against it, inviting in biodiversity, building soil health, and leaving the land better than we found it.

These blooms hold more than colour or scent. They carry the story of a place, the rhythm of the season, and a promise that love can be both wild and kind.

So if your heart leans toward something more thoughtful, toward flowers that tread lightly, bloom boldly, and feel like they belong to the land, then let us gather them for you.

Let your wedding be a celebration not only of love, but of all that is possible when we choose beauty that gives back.
